Soundwave Music Discovery Updated With Song History, 8tracks Syncing And More
August 7, 2013
Soundwave Music Discovery has just received an update that makes the action referred to in its name easier to carry out.
The latest update to Soundwave makes music discovery as it adds a new history tab for each song. In this tab, you can see who else has been playing, liking, disliking, and sharing a song. Consequently, you can see who else has musical taste similar to yours and follow them to discover more music you can jam to.
Released last June, Soundwave has been praised by Apple cofounder Steve Wozniak as "a music product that fits my life so perfectly."
As noted by Christine in her review of the app here on AppAdvice, Soundwave is "a social network for sharing and discovering music. It’s similar to other apps, such as #nwplyng and Wahwah, except this automatically pulls in your music plays from other sources."
As it happens, the new update also adds support for syncing songs played on another source, the popular 8tracks curated playlist service. Just go to your profile page, tap the gear icon to enter the settings section, and add 8tracks to your connected music players.
The new version of Soundwave Music Discovery is available now in the App Store for free. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.1 or later.
The newly updated app also includes support for user bio editing, manual location updating, and profile sharing.
