Thirtyaday Fitness App Goes Free And Universal With First Ever Update
August 4, 2013
Thirtyaday Fitness has just received its first ever update.
As noted by my colleague Bryan, Thirtyaday is an app that fosters the healthy habit of exercising by employing the simple concept that inspired its name:
Pick three exercises, do 30 repetitions a day, and then track it. Don’t think that you can do 30 lunges or jumping jacks? Thirtyaday Fitness can still work for you since goals may be changed at any time. The app was launched last April as a $0.99 app optimized for iPhone and iPod touch. But with its first update, Thirtyaday has just gone free and universal. First, let's talk about its going free. It's important to note that while Thirtyaday is now free to download, it now offers in-app purchases to unlock additional exercises, including the newly added 7-Minute Workout. At the moment, though, there appears to be a glitch in Thirtyaday's in-app purchasing matrix. As a result, it's not yet possible to unlock the additional exercises. I assume a remedial patch is already underway for this issue. As for the app's going universal, Thirtyaday is indeed now optimized for iPad as well as iPhone and iPod touch. Thirtyaday's iPad edition debuts alongside the app's new built-in instructions with animated images for each exercise, which supplement the app's existing WikiHow integration. Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later, Thirtyaday Fitness is available now in the App Store for free. The newly updated app also includes Spanish localization, UI improvements, and bug fixes. Apparently, it doesn't include typos fixes, as I've noticed that Thirtyaday, even in its newly updated form, is still littered with typos. Admittedly, they don't affect the app's functionality, but it's, of course, better if they, like excess body fat, are altogether eliminated. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
