Twelve South Launches The Affordable GhostStand For MacBook

August 27, 2013
Twelve South has announced the arrival of the transparent GhostStand for MacBook. The $34.99 accessory elevates the laptop 6 inches off your desk or table. Inspired by “the mind-bending shapes and materials of mid-century post modern design, as well as the iconic Ghost Chair by Phillippe Stark,” the GhostStand's launch follows the recent arrival of Twelve South’s HiRise for the iPhone 5/iPad mini. GhostStand, which is available now at twelvesouth.com, will soon launch at Apple stores. It includes double-inlaid, brushed metal rails lined with soft silicone to grip the bottom of your laptop, thereby protecting the work surface. The elevation also improves air circulation around your MacBook. According to Andrew Green, Creative Director of Twelve South:
Sometimes it seems the nicest things are the most expensive, and the lower cost items are a bit short on style. With GhostStand, no compromise is necessary. It delivers a timeless, sculpture-like design along with a very competitive price. In fact, GhostStand just happens to be one of the lowest priced MacBook stands on the market.
GhostStand is compatible with the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Pro with Retina display. We’re hoping to get our hands on a GhostStand. When we do, we’ll publish a full review.
