Adobe Revel Gains Support For Videos With New Auto-Import And Sharing Options

September 12, 2013
Adobe Revel has just been updated to version 2.1. And with this latest update, Adobe's cloud-based service not only syncs photos across iDevices and computers, but videos as well. Indeed, Adobe Revel, formerly Adobe Carousel, now supports video. "Each video counts as one asset," notes Adobe, "so it's equal to a single photo in terms of your monthly import quota." Video is also covered by Adobe Revel's new auto-import option. Just select this option and any photo or video you take is automatically imported to Revel. You can now also combine photos and short videos, turn them into an album, and share them with a link to a Web gallery. In addition, you can now share a photo or a video by sending a Web link via email or text message. Also, you can easily share a video to Facebook, with Revel posting a thumbnail from the video and providing a link for your friends to view it online. Adobe Revel 2.1 is available now in the App Store for free. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.1 or later. Adobe 2.1 also adds .png support for photos. Adobe Revel 2.0, which was released last June, introduced a new interface along with new Explore and Activity views. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
