Apple's AppleCare+ service is now also available for the iPod touch and iPod classic, and can be purchased at the Apple Online Store for $59.
The service launches following the availability of AppleCare+ in Britain, France, and Italy, and the news that the incident fee for iPhone users is increasing from $49 to $79. Though Apple's line of iPods weren't the focus of its recent media event, Apple has added "space gray" color options for the iPod shuffle, iPod nano, and iPod touch.
As a reminder, AppleCare+ provides customers with extended support for their iDevice, which importantly includes two incidents of accidental damage. For iPod owners, these carry an additional charge of $29 per incident on top of the $59 AppleCare subscription.
For the option of purchasing AppleCare+ for the iPod touch and iPod classic, head over to the Apple Online Store.
