Cobook Contacts Goes Universal, Now Fully Booked With Native iPad Support

September 12, 2013
Cobooks Contacts has finally gone universal. Released in December last year as an app that's optimized for iPhone and iPod touch, the popular contact management app has just been updated with native support for iPad. This means that all of the features that you love on Cobook Contacts on your iPhone or iPod touch are now fully supported on your iPad as well. Of course, these include the features introduced through the app's big 3.0 update late last July. Most notably, Cobook Contacts 3.0 delivered a new interface that's heavily inspired by the flat UI elements and semitransparent panels of iOS 7. It also added support for Mailbox-style swipe gestures, including swiping contacts to the right to select them and swiping further to the right to bring up options for quick actions. The new version of Cobook Contacts is available now in the App Store for free. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later. Cobook Contacts is capable of syncing with iOS' Contacts app and integrating with Facebook, Twitter, Fourquare, Instragram, LinkedIn, and Xing. Note, though, that some of these social networking integrations are available via in-app purchase from the Cobook Store, which was also introduced in Cobook Contacts 3.0.
