September 19, 2013
Earlier this month, we reported that Magic 2014 would be getting its first expansion update. Now, as expected and right on schedule, said update has gone live in the App Store.
The new update continues the Duels of the Planeswalkers saga in the sequel to Magic 2013, the popular iPad edition of Wizards of the Coast’s Magic: The Gathering trading card video game:
Further planar travel leads you into conflict with another Planeswalker, Elspeth Tirel. She is a weary knight searching for a safe haven, but she is still a powerful force to be reckoned with. Defeat her to continue your quest for the magical force you need to prolong your life.Magic 2014's first expansion adds five new playable decks, offering 280 unique cards to unlock across multiple battles. It also adds six new single-player campaign levels over the planes of Ravnica and Kamigawa. Furthermore, it brings five new puzzling challenges, new personal portraits, new achievements, and new trophies, among other enhancements. Also including various fixes and improvements, the new version of Magic 2014 is available now in the App Store for free. The game is compatible with iPad running iOS 6.0 or later.
