Major League Soccer And Disney Junior Now Available On The Apple TV
September 26, 2013
The Apple TV once again has received a content upgrade. The latest version includes the addition of Disney Junior and Major League Soccer (MLS) channels.
MLS includes a “Channels” section that includes free on-demand video highlights, analysis, fantasy soccer advice, and player profiles. Users can also watch full episodes of MLS 36, and MLS Insider.
Current league standings and information on your favorite clubs is also available.
For those with an MLS Live subscription, the Apple TV offers live streaming and archived versions of regular season matches. MLS Live is available for $14.99 per month throughout the season.
Disney Junior is the third Disney property to arrive on the Apple TV. Earlier this year, The Disney Channel and Disney XD were added to the lineup. Like the other two channels, Disney Junior content is only available to AT&T U-verse, Comcast XFINITY, Cox, Midcontinent Communications, Optimum, and Verizon FiOS subscribers.
Apple has been very busy in recent months on the Apple TV front. Last month, they added Vevo, The Weather Channel, and the previously mentioned Disney channels to the "hobby" product. In June, they added HBO Go, WatchESPN, Sky News, CrunchyRoll, and Qello.
