Social networking app Path has just unveiled some major changes with a move to version 3.2 of its official iOS app.
First up, Path has unveiled a premium subscription package. For $14.99 per year or $4.99 for three months, users can take advantage of all the sticker packs and camera filters for free. Users will also receive early access to new items in the shop.
In a blog post, Path promised to add more features to the premium package in the near future.
The update also brings a highly requested feature – private sharing. Path explains a little more on how it works:
After capturing a moment, tap the lock on the sharing screen. Keep the moment private for your eyes only, or tap the prompt to select friends to share it with. Your friends will know if they have been shared in a private moment by the lock in place of the usual seen-it smile. By looking at the moment’s seen-its, your friends will also be able to tell who else has been included. Finally, the update also adds an inner circle feature. In the friend list, users can select their circle by tapping on the star next to a friend’s name. While in the share screen, tap the star to share instantly with the other people in the circle. Path is a universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. It can be downloaded now in the App Store for free. The app update isn’t live yet, but it should be showing up momentarily. Back in August, Path announced plans to open up its API to a number of other third-party services. Are you interested in Path's premium subscription? While I tried out Path a few months ago, my biggest issue was finding other people I know who also used the service.
