Physics-Based Puzzle Platformer Sky Tourist Gains Mini Levels In First Update
September 4, 2013
Sky Tourist has just landed on its first ever update.
Released last July, Sky Tourist is a vertical-scrolling, physics-based puzzle platformer that has you guiding the title character, Petey Pendant.
Petey is intent on discovering new planets, so he created his own means of interplanetary travel: a pair of rockets connected by a cord on which Petey can be pendent, like a pendant.
Sky Tourist features three planets for Petey to explore: Plumia, Platory, and Protor. Each of these planets contains 25 levels.
And now, thanks to its first update, Planet Plumia has gained 15 new mini levels that has you guiding Petey as he discovers the planet's moon.
This is but the first batch of mini challenges to come to Sky Tourist. So expect to play succeeding batches for Planet Platory and Planet Protor.

Also including some minor bug fixes, the new version of Sky Tourist is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $0.99 download.
The newly updated game also includes performance improvements that allow older devices to run the game. Note that the game is compatible with iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, fourth-generation iPod touch, fifth-generation iPod touch, iPad 2, third-generation iPad, fourth-generation iPad, and iPad mini.
In her original review of Sky Tourist within the week of its launch in July, my colleague Christine wrote:
I’ve become quite enchanted with the charm of Sky Tourist, and it’s definitely going to be occupying some of my time this weekend. It’s just a joyful little game that you want to keep on playing. If you’re looking for something that’s beautiful, original, and challenging, then you definitely need Sky Tourist. It’s definitely the game to pick up this week.Indeed, Sky Tourist was subsequently named as AppAdvice's Game of the Week. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
