Could T-Mobile Offer Apple's New iPads From Launch Day?

October 17, 2013
T-Mobile started offering Apple's iPhones back in April, however according to a new Twitter update from the network's chief executive officer John Legere, the so-called "uncarrier" could start selling the iPad 5 and iPad mini 2 from launch day. It's worth noting that, so far, nothing has been confirmed officially by either Apple or T-Mobile. That being said, a Twitter update from the charismatic CEO indicates that he, and his company, have a lot to look forward to come Oct. 22. As a reminder, Apple has invited the press to a special iPad media event on Oct. 22, and anticipated announcements include the fifth-generation 9.7-inch iPad and the second-generation iPad mini. John Legere's Twitter update reads: "What has two thumbs and is excited for October 22? #thisguy." He also links to a USA Today article mentioning Apple's Oct. 22 event. Of course, T-Mobile is the only major U.S. carrier that doesn't offer Apple's Wi-Fi + Cellular iPad models. Given that iPhone sales with the carrier have been a huge success, it makes sense for a T-Mobile iPad deal to be in the pipeline. Though whether such a deal with be announced in time for the launch of Apple's iPad 5 and iPad mini 2 remains to be seen. We'll keep you updated with further information as we receive it.
