Get Your Vine Fix On The iPad With MyVine

October 30, 2013
If you’re looking for a great, albeit unofficial, way to post and browse the Vine social network on an iPhone or iPad, MyVine is a great choice. Anyone who has used the official iPhone/iPod touch video sharing app should definitely be right at home with MyVine. After signing in via email or Twitter, users can view vines from the standard timelines like On the Rise and Popular Now right along with the home feed. Popular new vines from the default categories can also be viewed. While making a video, users can take advantage of optional onion skinning to show the last recorded frame, which is great for lining up the next shot. Along with optional grid support, both the front and back cameras can be used to capture a vine. A universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini, MyVine can be downloaded now in the App Store for $1.99. Even though I just got to play around with MyVine for a few minutes, I was really impressed. I probably prefer the official app for my iPhone by a small margin, but MyVine does a nice job taking advantage of the iPad’s larger screen to present more information.
