Nike+ Running Updated To Add Photos On The Run, Auto-Pause

October 16, 2013
The popular Nike+ Running iPhone app has received an update adding two new features. Now, users of the application can more easily shoot photos while running, and may also enable an "auto-pause" toggle on their iPhone handset. As a reminder, the "most popular running app" available in the App Store allows iPhone users to record their distance, pace, and time while running, and includes a number of social features such as Facebook and Path integration. You can also sync data to Nikeplus.com and view your running history online, and the app is localized for a number of international languages including Chinese, French, German, and Japanese. Now, however, Nike+ Running 4.4 brings two additional features to the already-impressive iPhone app: "Photos on the Run" and "Auto-Pause." As outlined in the application's release notes:
  • PHOTOS ON THE RUN: Now you can take photos before, during, or after your run. Capture the moment and let your friends keep you going with likes and cheers.
  • INTRODUCING AUTO-PAUSE: Now your runs automatically pause and resume when you do.
Both definitely seem to be useful features, and will clearly be appreciated by users of Nike+ Running. As a reminder, Nike+ Running received its last significant update earlier this year, which added a fun "Challenges" feature to the application. Most of us, however, are instead excited for the launch of the M7-powered Nike+ Move app, which is set to appear in the App Store on Nov. 6. In the meantime, check out the latest update for Nike+ Running. As mentioned, the application can be downloaded free of charge in the App Store.
