Take A Dive Into A Horror-Themed Rollercoaster In Rail Rush's Halloween Update
October 20, 2013
With just under two weeks to go before Halloween, Miniclip has updated its popular Rail Rush endless runner with several enhancements that celebrate the spooky occasion.
First, there's the new Horror Land world, which lets you take a dive into a horror-themed rollercoaster. This new world comes in addition to the existing Old Mines, Steam Factory, Jurassic Jungle, and Pharaoh's Tomb worlds.
Speaking of worlds, you can now access a world of your choice using world passes, which you can find hidden inside pumpkins. You can now also challenge your friends in different worlds.
Now, back to the new Horror Land world. Unsurprisingly, this new world is riddled with ghosts. If you wish to survive the ride longer, you must also dodge these pesky ghosts. Or you can just seek succor from Jack O'Lantern, a new hero who fights ghosts using his pitchfork. You can unlock Jack O'Lantern for 25,000 nuggets for a limited time only.

Rail Rush's Halloween update also features new Halloween-themed music and game menus.
Also including iOS 7 support and some minor bug fixes, the new version of Rail Rush is available now in the App Store for free. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 4.3 or later.
Earlier this month, two of the most popular endless runners in the App Store received their respective Halloween updates. First, Despicable Me: Minion Rush was updated with a spooky version of Gru's Residential Area and several Halloween costumes. Then, Subway Surfers was updated with, among other eerie enhancements, a theme based on America’s most haunted city, New Orleans.
