Great news, iPhoneographers: Mextures, the popular photo-editing application for iOS, has just received an update finally adding support and optimization for Apple's iOS 7, along with a number of further features.
As a reminder, the $1.99 Mextures allows iPhone and iPod touch users to mix up different photo textures, and to add the blended result to an image captured on their iDevice.
More than 80 different textures across 12 different blending modes are available in the application, and the finished product can be shared with friends (users are advised to share their creations to Instagram and Tumblr using the "#mextures" hashtag).
Now, however, Mextures has received a long-overdue update adding support for Apple's minimalistic iOS 7. As such, changes include a new app icon, a new main screen for the app, and a number of other user interface enhancements.
Furthermore, higher resolution images now display within the application's "Inspiration" feed, which is a change that users of the app will certainly appreciate.
In our original review, we noted that "Mextures is a beautiful and unique photo editing app that should make its way to iPhones of photographers everywhere."
Check out Mextures 1.5, and take a look at the app for yourself. As mentioned, it can be downloaded for $1.99, and is optimized for the iPhone and iPod touch.
