There is a new member of the Olloclip lens attachment family. The company recently introduced the 4-in-1 Lens for the iPhone and iPod touch. Photographers can quickly snap the system onto their iOS device and then select from a fisheye, wide-angle, or two different macro (10x and 15x magnification) lenses. The system weighs in at less than one ounce. Here’s a quick video about the new system. Click here if you can’t see it. Along with all photo apps, the lenses can also be used in video mode to capture a unique moment. Building on the previous generation, the new system is designed with the specific field-of-view, light control, and resolution characteristics of the iPhone 5s camera.
"We wanted to enhance the new features of the iPhone 5s camera, including the five-element lens, autofocus matrix metering and dynamic local tone map that ensures more true-to-life color, while also complementing the iPhone's aesthetic look," said Patrick O'Neill, founder and president (CEO) of olloclip. "We believe we've succeeded in creating an elegant, pocket-size product that any iPhone user will be proud of and that any iPhone photographer will be inspired to use to create great art."Available in black, silver, and red, the new the 4-in-1 Lens is compatible with the iPhone 4/4s, iPhone 5/5s, and the fourth- and fifth-generation iPod touch. It retails for $69.99 and can be preordered from Olloclip’s site now. It’s expected to ship in early November. The lens system can also be used with the free Olloclip app, which can be downloaded now in the App Store for free. Updated to version 2.0 in late September, the app features an iOS 7 look and new cropping presets.
