Toca Mini Looks Like Mr. Potato Head For The iOS Generation

October 18, 2013
Toca Boca, one of my favorite developers of children’s apps is keeping busy. On its Facebook page today, the company posted a trailer for its newest app, Toca Mini, which will arrive in the App Store next week on Thursday, Oct. 24. Click here to see the entire video. As you can see, Toca Mini looks to be a fun, dress-up style app that will let kids decorate the small person however they would like. Along with an infinite amount of color choices, kids can select from numerous different body parts like eyes, nose, mouth, and ears. They’ll even be able to take a photo of their new creation to share with the world. While the price wasn’t announced, the app will be universal and designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. The developer released its most recent app, Toca Cars, in September. The universal game allows little ones to create their own virtual world that they can then fly through with their own vehicle. It can be downloaded now in the App Store for $2.99. My daughter has greatly enjoyed Toca Cars, and usually can’t stop playing. I like the fact that there are no in-app purchases and there’s not a right or wrong way to play.
