Weather Live Takes On Apple's Own Weather App With Updated Design

In case you missed it, Weather Live got an update recently adding support and optimization for iOS 7. Though a little late to the party in this respect, the application nevertheless looks great and fits in well with the latest iteration of Apple's mobile OS. As a reminder, the $3.99 Weather Live offers users detailed information on the weather, including cloud maps, rain maps, bad weather warnings, freezing temperature alerts, and more. The universal application also displays the present temperature as a badge notification icon, making it easier for users to quickly check on the temperature without launching Weather Live. Now, however, the app's developer explains that "each and every part of the interface" has been optimized "to fit in with the look and feel of iOS 7," and the resultant design looks great. For those new to Weather Live, features include:
  • Weather forecasts and local time for multiple locations all around the world
  • Extended forecast for any coming day of the week or hour: just tap it to get weather details
  • Search for a specific location by postcode, zipcode, latitude/longitude, IP, Airport Code, city/town name
  • Magical animations reflecting real-time weather conditions
  • Cloud/Satellite/Rain maps
  • Animated weather radar to quickly see what weather is coming your way
  • Bad weather warnings and alerts to warn you about severe weather in your area
  • Adjustable layout, check the basic information or go advanced. Choose weather parameters you want to be displayed in the layout settings
  • Current temperature as an icon badge right on your Home Screen
  • Alert notifications when temperature passes zero
  • Freeze Alert, notifies you when liquid freezing point is reached
  • Sharing options: share the weather with friends across your favorite social networks
