Dropbox 3.0 Features iOS 7 Redesign, Streamlined Sharing And Other Improvements

November 22, 2013
Dropbox for iOS has just been updated to version 3.0. As it happens, Dropbox 3.0 is the long-awaited iOS 7 update to the eponymous file hosting service's official iOS app. Last week, while announcing a new feature upgrade to Dropbox for Business in a blog post, Dropbox posted a couple of screenshots of its iPhone app. In doing so, it effectively teased the iOS 7 redesign of the Dropbox iOS app, which has just arrived in the App Store. "The new Dropbox app is a bit like a new beginning for Dropbox on iOS," notes the Dropbox team in a new blog post. "While many things will feel familiar, we hope you’ll notice the small tweaks that make a pretty big difference. And maybe best of all, it sets the stage for some exciting things to come." Of course, the new iOS 7-inspired design of Dropbox is clean, simple, flat, and mostly white. What's more, on iPad and iPad mini, the new design allows you to simply tap on files and photos to toggle full-screen mode. Dropbox 3.0 also boasts streamlined sharing and exporting of files, with the addition of AirDrop support and seamless saving of videos to the device library. Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.0 or later, Dropbox 3.0 is available now in the App Store for free. Dropbox 3.0 also includes speed improvements, PDF viewing enhancements, and various bug fixes. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
