Google+ For iOS Gains Full-Resolution Backup, Inline Translation And More
November 23, 2013
Google has just posted a major update to the official iOS app of its "additive" social network.
Most notably, the latest update to Google+ for iOS introduces full-resolution automatic backup of photos and videos. Note, though, that this enhancement works only on iOS 7, for which the app has also been redesigned.
The update also introduces a new Locations view, where you can share your location and see where your friends are. You can also choose who gets displayed by filtering the map based on which of your Google+ circles you want to show or hide.
Moreover, the newly updated Google+ app features inline translation of posts and comments as well as a revamped notification tray.
Also including some bug fixes and performance improvements, the new version of Google+ is available now in the App Store for free. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later.
