Stow 2 Introduces New 'Premier' Features To Popular Smart Packing List App

November 19, 2013

Stow, the “simple but useful packing list to help you keep organized” that was given an AppAdvice App of the Week honorable mention following its launch last January, has just been updated to version 2.0.

First and foremost, it’s important to note that Stow 2, as the app’s new version is called, is not available as an update to the original app, henceforth referred to as Stow 1. Rather, it’s been released as a separate app. As a result, Stow 1 has been pulled from the App Store.

Unlike Stow 1, which was optimized for iPhone and iPod touch only, Stow 1 is a universal app designed for iPad as well as iPhone and iPod touch. And unlike Stow 1, which was available for $1.99, Stow 2 is available for free. Free for the basic version, that is.

Via a $1.99 in-app purchase, Stow 2 offers an upgrade to Stow Premier, which unlocks the following premium features:

  • Connect TripIt - Stow Premier can automatically import your trips, making it even easier to create packing lists for them.
  • Weather Forecasts - Stow Premier can download the predicted weather for your trip and present items you might want to pack as a result.
  • More People - Stow Premier can create packing lists for multiple people, factoring in their individual preferences and desires, along with your own.
  • TravelingSync - Stow Premier uses a custom service called TravelingSync to magically keep your trip and packing data up to date on all your devices.
  • Custom Templates - Make your own templates for types of trips you take regularly.

Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.0 or later, and featuring, of course, an iOS 7-ready design, Stow 2 is available now in the App Store for free.
