Bloomberg For iPhone Updated With Financial News And Watchlist Enhancements
December 22, 2013
Bloomberg, the official iPhone app of the well-known financial news company of the same name, has just received another major update.
As you might expect from its name, the Bloomberg app provides breaking news and top stories that help you keep on top of what's happening in the world of finance.
Released way back in 2008, the app was updated early last October to version 3.0 with a new design and various other improvements. Now, it has been updated to version 3.1 with several additional enhancements.
Among these enhancements is the ability to disable thumbnail images on news headlines, which you can do in the app's settings section. Also, there's the added ability to tweet a paragraph from a story — or at least a portion of a paragraph, considering Twitter's 140-character limit. Just long-press on a paragraph and tap Tweet on the contextual menu to tweet the paragraph.
Bloomberg 3.1 also includes the following improvements focused on the Watchlist section of the app:
Also including iOS 7 tweaks and performance improvements, Bloomberg 3.1 is available now in the App Store for free. It's optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later. Bloomberg for iPad is also available in the App Store for free. It's listed as an "essential app" in AppAdvice's Best Financial News Apps for iPad AppGuide. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
