Coca-Cola Launches Spotify-Powered Placelists Social Music App On iOS
December 28, 2013
Coca-Cola has just launched Coca-Cola Placelists on iOS.
Coca-Cola Placelists was first launched last June as a social music app hosted on the desktop client of Spotify. In fact, it was released as one of the products of Coca-Cola's ongoing partnership with Spotify, which was announced in April last year. As such, Placelists features tight integration with the popular music streaming platform.
Of course, so does the new Coca-Cola Placelists app for iOS. In addition, it features integration with Facebook for an even more social experience.
"Coca-Cola, Facebook & Spotify created Placelists to give you a new way to discover music wherever you go and easily share it with friends," the app's App Store description states. "With Placelists, every song has a place."
Placelists is so named because it lets you and your friends create playlists for different locations or venues, e.g. dance studio, home, or square.
With Placelists, you can discover places to enjoy music with your friends, add songs to your favorite places, vote on songs to be played, and listen to the featured songs with Spotify Premium.
Coca-Cola Placelists is available now in the App Store for free. It's optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later.
