Let Showyou Show You Its Brand New iOS 7-Inspired Interface With Its 5.0 Update
December 20, 2013
Showyou, the popular "Flipboard for video" app developed by Remixation, has just been updated to version 5.0. Arriving three months after the release of iOS 7, Showyou 5.0 unsurprisingly comes with a brand new design based on the look and feel of the operating system.
"We've been working hard to give the people of the world what we know they want most for the holidays: a stunningly beautiful and entirely new version of Showyou a la facon de iOS7," notes Remixation. "Thousands of hours of design and coding to buff and polish and hone every screen of the app. You'll cry tears of joy and delight (yes, that word!) when you use it, promise."
As expected, Showyou's new iOS 7-inspired interface is simpler, flatter, and much, much whiter. More notably, it features a new full-bleed video player, popular lists by country (with support for more than 200 countries), and a new Staff Picks section.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.0 or later, Showyou 5.0 is available now in the App Store for free.
Released in April 2011, Showyou showcases the best videos from YouTube, Vimeo, and popular channels including "The Daily Show," "The Colbert Report," TED, Reddit TV, Pitchfork, Funny or Die, and Vice. The app recommends videos to you based on your location, interests, and your friends' shares on Showyou and your social networks.
