PicFeed 2.0 Features iOS 7 Redesign, Instagram Video Support And More
December 15, 2013
The custom Instagram feed creation app PicFeed has just been updated to version 2.0.
First off, PicFeed 2.0 introduces a completely new interface based on the look and feel of iOS 7. Apart from that, it introduces a number of notable new features.
For one thing, PicFeed 2.0 lets you create custom feeds based on hashtags, as opposed to custom feeds based on users. And when creating new feeds, it now lets you see whom you already follow.
The update also brings support for viewing Instagram profiles and adds new Following and Liked feeds. Furthermore, it lets you share your custom feeds via email, text, Facebook, and Twitter.
In addition, PicFeed 2.0 features support for Instagram video. In line with this, you can now filter media in the app either by video or photo.
Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 7.0 or later, PicFeed 2.0 is available now in the App Store for free.
PicFeed originally went by the name InstaFeed. But the app underwent a name change in accordance with Instagram's guidelines that prohibit apps from using the words "Insta" or "Gram" from their branding.
Another Instagram-connected app that had to undergo a name change was Gramatica, which now goes by the name Primary. Primary, for its part, lets you hide unwanted photos from your Instagram feed.
