Pinterest For iPad Redesigned For iOS 7, Updated With Secret Boards And Other Features
December 11, 2013
Pinterest has just pinned another major update to its official app for iOS.
About a couple of months ago, the universal app was updated with a design refresh for iOS 7 on both its iPhone and iPad editions. This time, it has been updated with further iOS 7 design enhancements specifically for iPad.
Simpler, cleaner, and flatter, Pinterest for iPad's new interface mainly does away with the rather cluttered old sidebar menu and effectively replaces it with a consistent bottom menu. The new menu makes for quicker access to Home, Explore, Notifications, Profile, and Pin.
And when you're pinning something new, Pinterest for iPad now shows your most recently picked boards for faster pinning.
The newly updated Pinterest app also makes finding related boards and sharing boards easier on iPad. Just press and hold on a board to find boards related to it or to send it to your friends.
Moreover, the iPad app gives you access to three more secret boards. In time for the holidays, too, since, as the Pinterest team notes, secret boards are "perfect for keeping all your holiday giving ideas under wraps."
The new version of Pinterest is available now in the App Store for free. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later.
Pinterest for iOS received its previous update just three weeks ago. That update added support for Place Pins on the app's iPhone edition.
