Tweetly Is An iOS 7-Optimized Twitter App With A Built-In Aviary-Powered Photo Editor
If you're still on the lookout for a free, iOS 7-optimized Twitter client other than Twitter's official one, consider taking a gander at the recently launched Tweetly.
For better or worse, Tweetly doesn't appear to be striving to become the next Tweetbot or Twitterrific. Rather, it appears to be designed mainly for non-power Twitter users, as it only offers essential Twitter client features with a little extra thrown in.
Unlike most other Twitter apps, Tweetly doesn't normally open to the main Twitter timeline. Instead, it opens to a home screen, in the middle of which is a big tweet button surrounded by buttons for accessing said timeline, mentions, search, and profile.
Tweetly features a clean and simple interface, with support for swipe-based tweet action gestures but without support for customizing the timeline text size and the like. It also works with multiple accounts but doesn't work with push notifications.
For all its omissions, though, Tweetly does boast a tweet composer with a built-in feature-rich photo editor. Powered by Aviary, the photo editor features 13 filters and effects plus support for orientation, crop, meme creator, color splash, focus, adjust, enhance, stickers, and frames.
As noted by iMore, Tweetly is initially downloadable for free in celebration of its launch. After its limited-time freebie offer, the app will be available for the regular price of $0.99.
