All-In-One Productivity App Pocket Informant Goes Freemium With New Features

The all-in-one productivity app Pocket Informant Pro has just been updated to version 3.5 with a set of new features along with a new official name and a new pricing model. Pocket Informant Pro is now simply called Pocket Informant. The name change actually comes as a result of its going freemium, as opposed to being a paid app priced at up to $14.99. Another notable effect of its switch to try-before-you-buy is the discontinuation of its lite edition, Pocket Informant Go. So, what's new in version 3.5 of Pocket Informant? Well, it includes printing, AirDrop sharing, 64-bit support, event conflict checking, and natural language input for creating new tasks with Quick Entry. It also brings a number of improvements across various aspects of the app. Note, though, that the following restrictions are in place for the free entry level of Pocket Informant:

• One Calendar filtered in the calendar view. We automatically pick your iOS default calendar or let you use Pocket Informant Online and set a default calendar there.
• One Reminder List accessible.
• 15 regular PI tasks can be created (not including checklist items)
• Sync only with Pocket Informant Online.
• 3.5 introduced a new sharing panel that allows Airdrop events and tasks - this is restricted
• 3.5 introduced calendar printing (list mode) - this is restricted
• Task Smart Filters are restricted
• Templates are restricted
• Notes View is restricted
• Contacts view is restricted

To take full advantage of what Pocket Informant has to offer, you can upgrade to Premium via a one-time $14.99 in-app purchase. But what if you already purchased Pocket Informant Pro or the Pro upgrade in Pocket Informant Go? Well, in most cases this well be detected and you will be automatically upgraded into Pocket Informant's Premium level. And if you already purchased Pocket Informant Go (which cost $3.99) but did not purchase its Pro upgrade, this will also be detected and you will be upgraded into a special Go level of Pocket Informant. Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.0 or later, Pocket Informant is now available in the App Store for free.
