Apple Updates WWDC App With Fix For Video-Related Developer Login Issue

January 16, 2014
Apple has just issued a small yet significant update to the official iOS app of its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). According to its sole release note, the update resolves an issue that renders developers unable to log in to the WWDC app to watch session videos. As noted by MacRumors:
According to reports on Twitter, some developers had been unable to use the app to view session videos following the security breach on Apple's Developer Center that shut it down for an extended period of time in July 2013.
Considering that the session videos are also available on Apple's developer portal, it's not really that much of a surprise that it took Apple this long to fix the issue in the WWDC app. The new version of the WWDC app is available now in the App Store for free. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.1 or later. Apple released the WWDC app a week before the opening of its developer conference last year, which kicked off on June 10. The company previously updated the app ahead of the event with various bug fixes and enhancements for video playback.
