Keynote, Pages And Numbers For iOS All Receive Updates

Hot on the heels of updating the iWork for iCloud suite, Apple has just released updates for the iOS versions of Keynote, Pages, and Numbers. Most importantly, users of the apps can now share password-protected documents with others via an iCloud link. The rest of the new features are fairly minor. Here’s the complete list of what’s new in Pages version 2.1:
Share password-protected documents via iCloud link View character count with or without spaces Export password-protected documents to DOCX format Start a list automatically using new special characters Create charts with date, time, and duration values Improved support for bidirectional text Improved ePub export Improved compatibility with Microsoft Word 2013 documents Custom number formats in charts are preserved on import of Pages ’09 and Microsoft Word documents Bug fixes and stability improvements
Version 2.1 of Numbers also ushers in similar features:
View and edit spreadsheets in landscape orientation Chart date and duration values Share password-protected documents via iCloud link Export password-protected spreadsheets to XLSX format Improved compatibility with Microsoft Excel 2013 spreadsheets Custom number formats in charts are preserved on import of Numbers ’09 and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets Bug fixes and stability improvements
The Keynote update brings a new remote feature, making the standalone Keynote Remote app obsolete. Here are the rest of the changes in the above pictured version 2.1:

All three programs are free for users who purchase a new iOS device. If not, you’ll have to pay $9.99 to download each app. They are all universal and designed for both the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini.
