Road of Kings is a brand new adventure game for iOS, which promises iDevice users a gaming experience where “no two adventures are the same.” Featuring a “choose-your-own-adventure” mode of gameplay, Road of Kings offers a huge open world, countless characters to interact with, and exciting role-playing game (RPG) elements.

Developed by Dancing Sorcerer Games, Road of Kings is available in the App Store for $2.99, and it's optimized for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Over in the app's release notes, the developer explains:

Become the barbarian king! Adventure across a dangerous land where your decisions can, and will, change your fate. Earn your birthright by defeating dangerous foes, forging alliances, and discovering hidden treasures! Inspired by early fantasy board games and RPGs, Road of Kings allows you to experience hours of adventuring on your favorite device.

Road of Kings definitely looks like an iOS app that RPG fans will enjoy. Besides featuring an immersive storyline and the aforementioned choose-your-own-adventure mode of gameplay, Dancing Sorcerer Games also promises iDevice users “dozens of unique characters to interact with” and “hundreds of events to challenge your claim of king.”

Individual adventures are easy to pick up and put down, the developer adds, and the world gamers explore is said to change based on players' unique choices.

RPGs are definitely popular on iOS, and some of the most recent news concerning this genre involves the upcoming release of Running Quest, the recent release of The Shadow Sun, and a recent update for the popular Warhammer Quest.

Road of Kings looks to be a great addition to the App Store's selection of RPG titles. As mentioned, it's available to download for $2.99 and is optimized for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
