This New Handwriting App For iPad Promises To Be Quite INKredible

January 12, 2014
The team behind Notes Plus — the popular note-taking app that supports handwriting, typing, audio recording, document annotation plus more — is out with a brand new app called INKredible. INKredible is an app that boasts a wholly different approach to handwriting on iPad, with its patent-pending vector-graphic ink effects. "While other apps like Paper and Penultimate use the conventional method of applying a bitmap texture on strokes to simulate inking, we take a different approach and manipulate Bézier curves directly with pure vector graphics," notes the INKredible team in an email pitch that, fittingly enough, was written with INKredible. "The result is incredible." If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. In addition to its atypical handwriting technique, INKredible offers a no-frills user interface that lets you focus on content creation. It also features smart palm rejection. Compatible with iPad 2, third-generation iPad, fourth-generation iPad, iPad Air, iPad mini, and iPad mini with Retina display, INKredible is available now in the App Store for free. The free app comes with the free fountain pen tool and offers the calligraphy pen, ballpoint pen and wet brush tools via in-app purchase for $0.99 each.
