Where Were You When Kennedy Got Its First Major Update?
January 5, 2014
Just over a couple of weeks after its release in the App Store, Kennedy has received its first ever update.
Kennedy is a journal app that lets you capture your location, the date and time, the current weather conditions, and the currently playing music along with the latest world headlines. As developer Brendan Dawes notes, it lets you "remember where you were when that big news event happened, or show all those moments when it was raining or when you were listening to that much loved song."
As mentioned, Kennedy has just received its first ever update, which also happens to be its first major update as it introduces a new major feature together with several improvements.
The new major feature comes in the form of Foursquare integration. Now, when capturing your location, you can choose from a list of nearby venues provided by Foursquare. Once chosen, a venue can be tapped to display its details in the Foursquare app. Foursquare integration also works retroactively for previously captured locations.
The first update to Kennedy also lets you specify your preferred news feed. Just go to Kennedy's own section in the iOS Settings app to add any RSS feed as the source for the news headlines.
The new version of Kennedy also includes the following improvements:
The new version of Kennedy is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $1.99 download. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 7.0 or later.
