Woo Hoo! Soon You Can Stream All Episodes Of 'The Simpsons' On Your iOS Device

January 16, 2014
Beginning this summer, you can spend hours and hours lying on your couch and watching episode after episode of "The Simpsons" on your iOS device. That's because all 24 seasons — and counting — of the Fox's long-running animated sitcom will finally be made officially available via video streaming. According to Quartz (via 9to5Mac), all 530 episodes of the show's 24 completed seasons will be streamed in the U.S. starting in August via FXNOW. Launched on iOS just last month, FXNOW is the on-demand video app for FX Networks, composed of FX, FXM, and FXX. What's more, FX Networks CEO John Landgraf has announced that a dedicated "The Simpsons" streaming app will also be released. Quartz notes:
The Simpsons content will be curated in a separate app, which Landgraf said will be “integrated with and linked through” the FXNOW app. The Simpsons app will contain a multitude of Simpsons clips as well as full episodes (all 530 episodes will be available at all times, not cycled through at various intervals), all of which will “be infinitely cross-referenced and sortable and searchable in various different ways,” Landgraf said.
Unsurprisingly, the upcoming "The Simpsons" streaming content will be available only to subscribers of FXNOW's partner TV providers, including AT&T U-verse, Comcast XFINITY, Midcontinent Communications, Optimum, Suddenlink, and WOW!. As Homer would say, "D'oh!"
