Evasi0n7 Jailbreak Software Updated To Version 1.0.6 To Support iOS 7.0.6
February 23, 2014
The elite hacking team known as the evad3rs has just released a new version of its popular evasi0n7 jailbreak tool in order to add support for the recently released iOS 7.0.6.
Dubbed evasi0n7 1.0.6, the jailbreak tool update comes just a day after iOS 7.0.6 was released by Apple. The new version of Apple's mobile operating system provided a security patch for SSL connection verification.
Unsurprisingly, iOS 7.0.6 turned out to be incompatible with evasi0n7. As we noted yesterday, though, there had been a DIY fix, requiring a Hex-editing utility to match the jailbreak software with the new version of iOS 7.
But today, an official fix has been released by the evad3rs in the form of evasi0n7 1.0.6.

You can download evasi0n7 1.0.6 from the evasi0n website. The jailbreak software is available for OS X and Windows, and is compatible with all iOS devices running iOS 7.
Before installing the jailbreak software, make sure to restore to a fresh IPSW of the iOS 7 firmware via iTunes rather than downloading it over the air, which may cause some problems in the jailbreak process. Of course, also ensure that you have backed up your device using either iTunes or iCloud before proceeding with the jailbreak.
