Evernote Update Brings Two Nice Improvements, Various Bug Fixes

February 24, 2014
For the first time this month, popular iOS app Evernote has just received an update. Version 7.3.1 ushers in two welcome improvements to the note-taking app. Users can move notes more easily with recently used notebooks now displayed at the top of the list. The app now also remembers the most recently used camera mode. A number of bugs are also squashed in this version. Here’s the complete list:
  • Note editor should no longer flash when downloading new content
  • App should no longer get stuck with image or attachment view open after a search
  • Improved auto title and calendar interactions
  •
Several fixes for issues with swipe navigation
  • Several crash fixes
A universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch, and iPad/iPad mini, Evernote can be downloaded now in the App Store for free. A premium subscription can be unlocked with an in-app purchase of $5 per month or $45 per year. Some of the premium features include PIN lock for the app, offline access to all notebooks, and the ability for others to edit your notebooks. Before today’s update, the most recent version of the app arrived in late January. Version 7.3 brought a redesigned homescreen and a trio of color themes to select from.
