It All Adds Up: Calzy 2.0 Brings iOS 7 Redesign, Calculation Bookmarking And More
February 6, 2014
Calzy, my go-to calculator app for iPhone and iPad, has just been updated to version 2.0, nearly 10 months after its release in the App Store.
First off, Calzy 2.0 introduces a new design that matches the simple visual style of iOS 7 and comes with various interface enhancements. In particular, the new design supports multiple themes, inspired by the colors of the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c, across dark and light modes.
It also includes a revamped expression editor, which you can access by swiping down from the expression or result display. The expression editor lets you easily edit, reorder, and delete values in your calculation.
Calzy 2.0 also adds a new currency rounding button, which rounds the result off to two decimal places and affixes the local currency symbol to it. It also adds the ability to copy the spelled out result.
Furthermore, the new version of Calzy lets you bookmark a calculation with a note by long-pressing the equal sign. As well, it lets you share a calculation via AirDrop.
Calzy 2.0 is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $0.99 download. It's compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.0 or later.
Calzy is developed by WapleStuff. WapleStuff is the same studio behind the currency converter Stacks, which earned an AppAdvice App of the Week honorable mention last November, and the purchase tracker Pick, which was updated for iOS 7 last December.
