Localscope 4.1 Adds Support For New Location Services And Navigation Apps
February 5, 2014
The popular location-browsing app Localscope has just checked into another major update.
Last December, Localscope was updated to version 4.0 with a new iOS 7-inspired design, a revamped dashboard, an improved parallel query engine, and a bunch of other enhancements. This time, the app has been updated to version 4.1 with support for new location services and navigation apps along with another round of improvements.
First off, Localscope 4.1 sees the return of YouTube, letting you discover and search for videos around you. It also adds Dianping, dubbed "the Yelp of China," in Discover and Search.
Moreover, Localscope 4.1 brings additional support for not one, not two, but 40 navigation apps for turn-by-turn directions. These include all Garmin navigation apps across nine regions, all Navigon apps across 24 regions, and the following: Yandex Maps, City Mapper, Maps+, iWayGPS, Streets - The Street View App, Tube Tracker (London), and TopoMaps.
The new version of Localscope also includes the following improvements:
Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 7.0 or later, Localscope 4.1 is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $2.99 download. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
