The popular and aptly named iPad drawing app iDraw has just been updated to version 2.0 with a new design and a multitude of enhancements. Of course, the new design of iDraw is in line with the visual style of iOS 7, notably sporting a simple and flat interface. The newly updated app also boasts support for the 64-bit A7 processor in the iPad Air and the iPad mini with Retina display. Another significant change in iDraw 2.0 is the addition of support for Photoshop PSD import and export. Basically, this lets you import and export layered PSD files with vector paths and effects. The new version of iDraw also brings some improvements in the following aspects of the app:
  • Export Scale and DPI Options
  • Hex Value and HSB Color Pickers
  • New Dimension Label Settings
  • New Blend Modes
  • Per-Shape Blending
  • Angle Gradients
  • Inner and Outer Strokes
  • Scissor Tool
  • Join Multiple Paths
  • Connect Endpoints
  • Disconnect Path
  • Erase Images and Gradients
  • Improved Text to Path
  • Copy/Paste Styles
You may read the changelog in the App Store for the details of the update, which also includes a number of other improvements such as larger-size import of up to 4,096 x 4,096 pixels, text kerning and light height settings, and justified text alignment. Compatible with iPad running iOS 5.1.1 or later, iDraw 2.0 is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $8.99 download. The app is included in AppAdvice's Best iPad Apps For Artists AppList and Best Vector Drawing Apps For iPad AppGuide. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
