Tempo Smart Calendar Update Adds People Insights

The interesting smart calendar app Tempo has just been updated with a number of improvements. Making its premiere in version 1.2 is a new feature called People Insights. Designed to give users a complete picture of the people that they are meeting with, the app now displays information like all mutual LinkedIn connections, Facebook friends, and even mutual Tempo contacts.

“We’re always working to connect the dots in your day by providing more contextual data in your calendar,” said Raj Singh, CEO of Tempo AI. “With the new Insights feature, we’ve really focused on people both at the micro level with personal tidbits and at the macro level by leveraging an entirely new Tempo graph. Knowing more about the people you meet helps you make a stronger connection and cement the best business outcomes. Tempo Insights makes getting to know someone, and staying up to date with your connections, that much easier and more enjoyable.”

And with the new Smart and Morning Alerts, users can do a number of tasks without having to actually launch the app. Morning Alerts review the day ahead and remind users to wish friends a happy birthday. Smart Alerts include the ability to auto-dial a conference call and check a flight status. Here’s the complete list of other changes:

Connect Twitter to see the latest tweets from people in meetings and/or network

Delete suggested Contacts and Locations that are not correct

Customize your Default Alert Times with more choices

Auto-complete Locations based on recent and Google Places

Set a permanent Time Zone in Settings

Schedule a follow-up meeting right from an event

Review related emails from your Outlook and Hotmail Sent-Boxes

In Month view, see how busy each day is, and the gridlines are back

Estimated drive time is handy in the event summary
