Wine Spectator WineRatings+ 4.0 Features iPad Support, New iOS 7 Design And More

Wine Spectator, the popular lifestyle magazine focused on wine and wine culture, has just updated its flagship WineRatings+ app for iOS to version 4.0.
First and foremost, WineRatings+ 4.0 adds universal iOS support. WineRatings was released back in July 2010 as an app optimized for iPhone and iPod touch only. Now, at long last, the app has been optimized for iPad and iPad mini as well.
What's more, the new universal version of WineRatings+ features a new iOS 7-inspired design that looks clean and crisp.
It also includes the following enhancements:
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.0 or later, Wine Spectator WineRatings+ 4.0 is available now in the App Store for free. Access to the app's premium features requires a $2.99 monthly subscription, available via in-app purchase. In addition to WineRatings+, Wine Spectator offers Recipes for Wine Lovers and Wine Spectator's Guide to Napa Valley in the App Store. - Updated Top 100 Wines for 2013, containing our editors' latest list of the world's most exciting wine.
- Added "Value Sparklers for Special Occasions" to Picks section: This selection of Champagnes and global sparkling wines—all with great scores at fair prices—is just right for celebrations.
- Added "Extreme Values" to Picks section: These wallet-friendly wines, priced $12 or less, are perfect for large parties and everyday drinking.
- A new video explains all that the app has to offer, in both the free download and the monthly subscription versions.
