Christian Bale is the top choice of possible director David Fincher to portray Steve Jobs in the untitled biopic written by Aaron Sorkin.
That’s according to TheWrap, which first reported the news on the Sony film:
While Steve Jobs is a long way from Batman, Bale has been considered a prime contender to play the tech superhero since the project was first announced due to his physical resemblance to the Apple co-founder. Bale has not been approached to play Jobs yet, as the actor is taking a brief break from the business to spend time with his family since wrapping the role of Moses in Ridley Scott's “Exodus.” The Biblical epic is expected to have Bale back in the awards conversation.Sorkin’s script is based on Walter Isaacson's best selling biography “Steve Jobs.” The movie itself consists of three long scenes from Apple product launches, the Mac, the NeXT cube, and the iPod. Production of the film could begin sometime before the end of the year, but is more likely to start in 2015. The film would be the second major attempt at a Jobs biopic. “Jobs,” starring Ashton Kutcher, was a box-office bomb when it was released last August.
