Become A Stellar Visual Storyteller With Steller For iPhone And iPod touch
March 13, 2014
Steller, a newly released app for iOS, may have been named after a contraction of the word "storyteller." But it's perhaps no coincidence that it sounds like "stellar," which, as it happens, is an adjective that's not inapt when describing the app.
Steller is a visual storytelling app that's decidedly mobile-first. “Everything out there was Web first and mobile second,” notes Karen Poole, who designed Steller with her brother, Brian McAniff. “We wanted to create an app that was specifically designed for mobile, enabling real-time, authentic, and on-the-go storytelling.”
And that app has arrived in the form of Steller, which has launched today for the truly mobile iPhone and iPod touch — as opposed to similar Web services or iPad-only apps like Storehouse, which was released a couple of months ago.
With Steller, you can easily create magazine-like "visual stories" by combining photos, videos, and text on your iPhone or iPod touch. You can also create collections, follow interesting storytellers, and share stories both within the Steller network and without, e.g. on Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest.
