Developer Of Burn The Rope Launches Finder's Keep On The App Store

March 14, 2014

Big Blue Bubble, the developer most famous for releasing the popular Burn the Rope on the App Store, has launched a brand new game. Called Finder's Keep, the new application is a free-to-play dungeon-crawler that's optimized for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

Finder's Keep promises gamers “a dungeon-crawling, monster-slaying, loot-hoarding adventure,” and it features the usual array of dungeon-crawler features plus a few nice additions.

You can make your way through a large, sprawling environment in the game, meeting with friends (and foes) and doing battle as you go. Your character will earn experience points with each passing battle, and you'll be able to upgrade and customize this character, too.

However, by exchanging “friend codes” with others you can build up a multiplayer team and take on the dungeon together, and every member in your party will earn gold and rewards when one person levels up.

Being a free-to-play title, there's also a timer element in play and in-app purchases (IAPs) feature throughout the application. If you're a parent planning on handing Finder's Keep over to a younger gamer, you'll want to check on your iOS Settings app's “Restrictions” page in order to ensure no unauthorized purchases can be made without your permission.

Here's a list of additional features, as outlined in the app's release notes:

  • Check back each day for different challenges and chest events
  • Over 100 levels and items
  • Pick you avatar
  • Climb the tower and challenge the dragon!
  • Daily challenges
  • Special events
  • Unlockable abilities
  • Gain xp and level up to equip more powerful items
  • Monthly/weekly/daily dungeons
  • Try your luck with the ornate chest!

If you've been on the hunt for a new iOS dungeon-crawler, take Finder's Keep for a spin. As mentioned, you can pick up the title free of charge on the App Store, and it's optimized for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
