First teased all the way back at CES, Olloclip’s new 4-In-1 Lens system for the iPad Air and both generations of iPad mini is hitting the market next month.
Our own Dom Esposito stopped by Olloclip’s both at Macworld/iWorld 2014 in San Francisco to get a closer look at the kit. Click here if you can’t see the video.
Just like the high-quality 4-In-1 Lens system for the iPhone 5s/5 that arrived late last year, users can take advantage of a fisheye lens, wide-angle lens, a 10x macro lens, and a 5x macro lens.
I got a chance to take a look at the iPhone version after it was released, and I was really impressed. The build quality is really nice, and the four different lenses really opened up a number different and fun ways to take photos with my iPhone.
And even though I’m not exactly a fan of using an iPad or iPad mini to take pictures, the social stigma seems to be quickly fading as the tablet line continues to grow in popularity. So I expect to see more than a few photographers take advantage of Olloclip’s solution.
The lens set will retail for $69.99 and be available to purchase directly from Olloclip’s site or a number of other retailers. Buyers can select from three color choices – space gray or silver to match the iPad’s exterior, or a nice red edition.
