Reverb Now Lets You Collect Articles Using Its Smart Recommendation Engine

March 15, 2014
The personalized iPad news discovery app Reverb has just been updated to version 2.0, just under four months after its release in the App Store. Reverb 2.0 introduces a new Collections feature. Akin to Flipboard's custom magazine feature, Reverb's Collections feature lets you collect articles around specific topics. But what sets Reverb's Collection apart is the integration of Reverb's smart recommendation engine, enabling you to discover relevant articles with which to expand your collections. The Reverb team explains:
When users discover an article or topic of interest, they can tap an icon to name and create a new collection. Once in place, Reverb’s recommendation engine suggests relevant content to help readers discover new articles and related topics, grow the collection and deepen their knowledge of the topic. Users can share their personal collections with friends via email, Twitter or Facebook.
In addition to Collections, Reverb 2.0 features support for article rotation, allowing you to read articles in either portrait or landscape orientation. Compatible with iPad and iPad mini running iOS 7.0 or later, Reverb is available in the App Store for free. Reverb is included in AppAdvice's recent feature on notable alternatives to Zite, which was recently acquired by Flipboard. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
