Age Of Empires: World Domination For iOS Is Set To Launch This Summer
We’d heard previously that Microsoft was looking to bring Age of Empires to iOS, and now a brand new game in the series has been announced for a handful of mobile platforms. Called Age of Empires: World Domination, the new title should launch for the iPhone and iPad this summer.
In a press release announcing the game, developer KLabGames explained:
Age of Empires: World Domination expands the award-winning Age of Empires series by building an intuitive, yet deep, mobile strategy game. In the game, players create an empire by commanding all-time favorite heroes and civilizations. Players will also experience intense battles that allow them to deploy advanced tactics with simple and intuitive touch gestures.
A trailer for the game surfaced online, too, although we’re not sure yet how the app’s gameplay is going to take shape. We’re hoping for a fully-fledged real-time strategy (RTS) title, though with a first-look scheduled for Penny Arcade Expo East we don’t have long to wait until we’ll know for sure exactly how the app is going to run.
For regular updates on the game, take a look at Age of Empires: World Domination’s official website. We’ll also be sharing significant news, too, so check back with us.
