Google Unveils The Official iPhone App For Its Helpouts Service

April 15, 2014
Google has just introduced an official app for its Helpouts service on the App Store. Officially launching late last year using Google Hangouts technology, Helpouts connects users with experts on a number of subject matters, including art and music, computers and electronics, cooking, education and careers, fashion and beauty, and fitness and nutrition. While some Helpouts sessions do cost money, the app can only be used for free sessions. Here’s a complete list of what users can do with the app:
Find and schedule a Helpout Start a free Helpout Give a free Helpout Read reviews and listing details Send a message Report abuse Leave a review Change your settings Receive text-message and mobile reminders
Designed for the iPhone/iPod touch, Helpouts can be downloaded now on the App Store for free. Hopefully, we’ll see a native app designed for the iPad and iPad mini soon. If you’re interested in learning more about the app, you can view information on Google’s site.
