Powerful messaging app Viber has just been updated to version 4.2 and finally features an iOS 7 friendly design.
And the new look has definitely been worth the wait. Along with the overall flat look, the app looks much more colorful, and fits right in with the newest version of iOS.
The update also adds a number of new features. Users can now send multiple photos and video at the same time, which could come in handy during a number of situations.
With the new block list, any number or contact can be cut off with a few simple steps. And along with the usual slate of bug fixes, users can also send longer video messages to their friends throughout the world.
The cross-platform service also offers free VoIP calling to other users. Boasting more than 300 million users, the app was purchased by Japanese online retailer Rakuten earlier this year for $900 million.
Designed for the iPhone/iPod touch, Viber can be downloaded now on the App Store for free. With in-app purchases, users can buy credits to make calls to non-Viber landlines and other mobile phones.
In November 2013, the app was updated to version 4.0 and added the Sticker Market. Offering more than 1,000 stickers, most are available to download as part of packs costing $1.99 each.
