The Lunecase For iPhone Is Powered By Electromagnetic Energy

April 29, 2014
If you’re looking for a unique iPhone case, and can be a little patient, then definitely take a look at the new Lunecase Kickstarter. It uses electromagnetic energy emitted from the iPhone to power a small LED notification center on the back of the case. Users will be informed if they are receiving a phone call or text message. Interestingly, it has no batteries and doesn’t need to be connected to the iPhone. The case itself offers thin and sleek protection for the handset. Here’s a quick promo video about the Lunecase. Click here if you can’t see it. The Lunecase was first show off at CES 2014 in Las Vegas. Right now, if you hurry, you can snag a case for a $35 pledge. There is a version available for the iPhone 5s/5 and iPhone 5c. With 36 days left to go in the campaign, more than $20,000 has been raised on a goal of $50,000, so the Lunecase is well on its way to being funded. The case is estimated to ship sometime in August. The technology behind the case definitely sounds interesting. I’m looking forward to seeing it firsthand. Count me in as a backer.
